Welcome to this cool and crisp morning. Autumn is right around the corner with higher heating bills coming our way. Kids are back to school so please drive safely and be aware of school busses. We’ve had a very busy summer with produce coming in droves from Mill Valley and all of our community gardeners. Donations of corn from John at RPM Services come every week. Our families love the fresh produce and corn. With school back in session we can expect some of our elementary schools to start holding food drives. We have missed them. We just finished distributing backpacks to our families now we are working on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Woman’s club is having another food drive for us in October. As always, we appreciate everyone that donates food to our pantry. I also don’t say it enough, we wouldn’t be able to keep our pantry running so smoothly without our wonderful volunteers. We have barrels located at the City Hall, Library, Pick n Save, and Piggly Wiggly. Please keep us in mind when you do your grocery shopping.
