Letter from the Director-May 2023

Finally, a string of nice days. We were spoiled in April with a ton of really nice days, then Mother Nature came back with a vengeance. We have had to have bakery and produce inside of our building more than I care to admit. We’re all looking forward to good weather which makes our jobs easier.

Now down to the business at hand…we need the community’s help. Our shelves are getting kind of bare. The food drives have been pretty slow. The postal carriers are again this year NOT having “Stamp out Hunger”. That has been a major food drive in the past netting us around 10,000 pounds of food. That food drive also gave many people who are looking to volunteer something to do. With that being said, if you have a group (businesses, churches, and community groups) we would love to have you do a food drive for us. We will help in whatever way we can.

As always thanks to everyone who donates at our barrels and drops at the pantry. Your generosity is appreciated.

Thanks,

Julie
