It is a pretty toasty morning. Should be close to 90 today. We Energy bills should be skyrocketing. Money earmarked for food is used for cooling. We service between 65 and 70 families every week. I really appreciate our volunteers who are out in this heat in the afternoon helping our families. With the kids out of school for the summer our families need more home lunch items. We will be closed on Friday July 4th so our volunteers can spend the day with their friends and families. If you are looking for us on Facebook I apologize; however, we have been kicked off of Facebook. I have tried numerous times to get us back on but Mark Zuckerberg has no compassion for a non-profit. We are now on Instagram (a subsidiary of Facebook, go figure) so you can see our Thankful Thursday there. The produce is starting to come in from community gardeners. Please keep it coming, our families love it. Again, please keep us in mind when you do your grocery shopping. Every little bit helps. We appreciate all of the communities generosity to the pantry.
