Letter from the Director-February 2025

Another really cold morning. Oh well, I guess this is February in Wisconsin. Can’t complain because other than those few bitterly cold days it has been pretty mild. We are busy here finding work for the students who need community service. Be it court ordered, National Honor Society, or required for church we have a ton of teens who need community service. The new families keep coming in. We are getting 3 or 4 new families per week. We are still keeping our heads above water; however, our corporate donations of perishable items are going down every week. We are debating if we should pay the price for eggs to give to our families or spend the money elsewhere. I hope this bird flu gets taken care of quickly. Please keep us in mind when you do your grocery shopping. Every donation helps. Please think of having your church, school, or community group have a food drive.

Thanks for all of your generosity.

Julie
