Letter from the Director-September 2024

It is a gorgeous early September morning. Cool and crisp. We start September with challenges of our pantry numbers expanding just about every week. Our economy is finding many families struggling to feed their families along with purchasing back to school supplies, paying rent, and gas. Many thanks to the Muskego Woman’s Club and the community who purchased much needed back packs for our family’s school age children. No one went without. Thanks to the students, parents, and faculty of Mill Valley who again this year planted, tended, and harvested their school garden to provide us with fresh produce. Also, many thanks to our other community gardeners who have delivered from their gardens every week. Our families love the fresh produce. School is back in session, so our school sponsored food drives will be providing us with donations to help keep our shelves stocked. We are purchasing a lot of groceries to keep our shelves stocked. Please keep us in mind when you do your grocery shopping. Every little bit helps. Thanks so much for the commitment of our community who supports it’s food pantry!
