Letter from the Director-August 2024

Good morning to all on this hot and steamy August day. The day dawns with a dew point of 73. Makes for a real sticky day. We received our first batch of donated corn from RPM services for our families. The girl scouts have day camp this week and have dropped off their non-perishable items every morning. This has greatly helped with stocking our shelves. We had 4 new families last week. Our numbers keep increasing. We will be providing filled backpacks starting mid-August from the Backpack Coalition. Mill Valley Elementary drops off fresh produce from their garden a couple of times per week. They are having a deer problem with the little buggers eating all of the beans. If you are a home gardener, please keep us in mind when harvesting. We love the fresh produce. We appreciate all of the donations during our lean summer to keep our shelves stocked.

Please keep us in mind when you grocery shop and drop a little something in our barrels.

Thanks for your generosity,

Julie
